A Special COVID-19 Musical

One of STEP VA’s longtime participants, an aspiring playwright with autism, wrote and composed a two-act musical. Under the guidance of a theater/dance professional, a music therapist, and a speech-language pathologist all of whom professionally advise STEP VA, this young adult developed the musical from start to finish as an avenue to express the isolating impact of COVID-19 on people with various disAbilities. Produced and performed by cast members with varying disAbilities, it is a must see performance. Masks, social distancing, increased sanitation, and contact tracing will be in place during the event.
