An Afternoon with Colonel and Mrs. Richard Blackburn at Rippon Lodge Historic Site

January 22, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$10

Historic interpreters will portray the Blackburns and tell the visitors about their lives in the 18th century. They will learn about life as a member of the planter class and as a county politician. They will hear about their friends, family, neighbors, and slaves.

Participants will learn about what life was like in colonial Virginia in the first half of the 18th century. What it was like to immigrate to England’s largest and wealthiest colony and to see life through their eyes as they settle in a new world.
