Annual Old Dominion Humane Society Fall Festival
October 12 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) will have plenty of treats at the Annual ODHS Fall Festival from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 12. The rescue dogs will get in on the fun with costumes and a chance to mingle with visitors. The event is free to the public and located outside of the rescue center at 3602 Lafayette Boulevard in Fredericksburg.
ODHS is accepting donations of hot dogs, chips and drinks as admission. Dog food and other donations (see website) are also accepted, as well as monetary donations used to care for the rescues in the way of food, veterinary visits, including spaying and neutering, and more. (ODHS is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, and donations are tax deductible.)
“This is a great chance for visitors to meet the dogs looking for their forever homes, and it’s going to be an evening filled with fun,” said ODHS Founder Chrissy Blake. “The parking lot will be filled with cars decorated for Halloween for ‘Trunk or Treat’, games, and much more. The whole family is invited to visit with the dogs, from puppies to adults to seniors, that are up for adoption—and maybe some will find their perfect family.”
Save the date for the event that includes “Trunk or Treat,” games, candy, a petting zoo, a bounce house, four-legged friends and more.
ODHS is located at 3602 Lafayette Boulevard in Fredericksburg. Adoption events are Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Applications in advance are preferred and take priority over walk-ins.
