Join the FAM and Semilla Cultural in Historic Market Square and learn about the traditional Afro-Puerto Rican dance and music style of Bomba! Bomba In the Square will take place at the FAM in historic Market Square (907 Princess Anne Street) on Saturday, May 7th, 2022. This FREE event will start with a bomba class with live music from 4pm – 4:45pm and conclude with a 4:45pm-6pm bomba jam session where drum music will be played, and participants are encouraged to dance and sing! Bomba In the Square is a family-friendly event, and all are welcomed! Please wear comfortable shoes and be ready to move. Instruments will be provided but feel free to bring drums, cuás (wooden sticks), and/or maracas. In the case of inclement weather, the program will move inside the museum.
