CVMA 27-2 Bull Run III
July 20 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
$25The CVMA is an Association of Veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby. As a registered 501(c)(19) veterans’ charity, the mission of the CVMA is to support and protect those who have defended our country and our freedoms; Vets helping Vets.
This year Bull Run III is CVMA 27-2’s 13th annual fundraiser which will be held on July 20th, 2024 starting and finishing at Full Distance Brewing in Stafford, VA. The first major battle of the American Civil War was the First Battle of Bull Run, the Second Battle of Bull Run occurred just a year later. As an homage to the warriors that came before us, Bull Run III represents the “the mental Civil War,” the battle within. Our efforts in helping Veterans have been concentrated on fighting Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury.
All proceeds from our 2024 Bull Run III fundraiser will go to two local 501(c)(3) organizations Willing Warriors and Leashes of Valor:
Located in Haymarket, Willing Warriors benefits Veterans by providing cost-free retreat stays and programs that assist wounded and ill service members, disabled veterans, and their families to reconnect. In fact, Willing Warriors has given several of our own members and their families immeasurable steps towards their path to recovery through a stay at the Warrior Retreat.
Located in Fredericksburg, Leashes of Valor provides highly-trained service dogs to post-9/11 veterans to help with symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI) or military sexual trauma (MST), an underlying trauma to PTSD. Whenever possible, they source dogs from animal shelters and rescue organizations.
