Grand Opening of Patawomeck Museum & Cultural Center

Join the free event of the Grand Opening of the Patawomeck Museum & Cultural Center for the fourth of July. There will be food, games, workshops, children’s activities, vendors, musicians, cooling stations, craft activities that allow you to take a piece of history home, and live demonstrations of cooking, netting, flint knapping, eel pot construction, and more. Free shuttles will be offered and will leave from Downtown Fredericksburg near the Visitor Center.
If you have not visited the museum already, come on by and see us! Outside, a hands-on living village awaits, allowing visitors to step back in time and witness life as it was in 1492 before European exploration forever changed the landscape and culture. This living village offers a unique and interactive experience, providing visitors with an authentic glimpse into the past.
