On 5 November, from 10:00am to 2:00pm (but we’ll stay later as needed), the Orange County American Legion Post 156 and Veterans of Foreign Wars James Madison Post 2217, will be hosting “Thanks to our Veterans: Let’s Talk” event, in conjunction with Horse & Soul Counselling, at the Unionville Brewery Company, located at 24333 Narrow Gauge Rd, Unionville, VA 22567. (Please see the attached flyer) This event is designed as a way for the VFW, American Legion, and other Veteran Service Agencies/Organizations to reach out to all Veterans to help support and advise them on issues that are important to them (VA Benefits, Counselling, and many other issues of interest to Veterans) and help us get the word out to the Veterans in the region (Richmond, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Orange, Culpeper and surrounding areas) and let Veterans know of this event, to hopefully have them come by and gather information they may want or need and for our organizations and other support agencies and organizations to help our Veterans get the support that many of them may need but not know how to gain access to, even if it’s only the camaraderie they once felt when they were on active duty. Veteran’s Families are also welcome to come by…there will be some activities for kids.
