Mary’s Ribbons

Join Washington Heritage Museums and The Imaging Center for Women this October in honoring the memory of Mary Washington and all those who have battled breast cancer. The community is invited to tie a pink ribbon to the fence in front of the Mary Washington House during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to bring visibility to this disease.
Participation is free of charge, and guests are encouraged to tie a ribbon to the fence of the Mary Washington House and add the honoree’s name to be listed a Book of Honor and Remembrance. To place a ribbon, please visit the Mary Washington House during tour hours. Ribbons are also available at Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg locations. Those who cannot tie ribbons in person may email MarysRibbons@WashingtonheritageMuseums.org. To contribute donations of any size to this visual project, please contact WHM or the Mary Washington House.
