Paint in the Square with Meech
May 14, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join the Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) on May 14th, 2022, as we partner with Dametrii Nelson from ArtbyMeech, LLC to create an unforgettable paint-night experience in historic Market Square, located at the FAM, 907 Princess Anne Street. Dametrii will guide the participants through two sessions, complete with a DJ, raffles, and much more. We are excited to celebrate the rich diversity of our local artists. Dametrii created his own business by using his talents to create opportunities for other artists in the community.
During the first session, beginning at 4PM, Dametrii will guide participants as they create the skyline of Fredericksburg, featuring the famous railroad bridge over the Rappahannock River. The second session, beginning at 7PM, will have a more urban feel featuring pop-culture fashion!
Participants can sign up for both classes, or just one! Admission is $40 per session, or $75 for both. Refreshments will be available for purchase. FAM Members receive a free drink! If you are not a FAM member, now is a great time to join! Tickets, and membership information, are available at www.famva.org beginning April 20th, 2022. For more
information on this event, please contact Tara Herbert at therbert@famcc.org or visit www.famva.org.
The FAM collects, researches, interprets, teaches, and preserves the history, heritage, and culture of the Fredericksburg region. We serve a diverse community through a commitment to inclusion, integrity, credibility, and relevance. We will facilitate an understanding and appreciation of how the acts of those who preceded us have shaped this community and the nation at large—providing both lessons and inspiration as we work together to forge
a greater community.ca
