Why Redefine? Because the world around us has more opinions on identity than the sands of the sea and the standards change faster than Virginia weather. Every person with an internet connection and a keyboard believes they are entitled to share their expert opinion. The problem is, we aren’t experts. People didn’t create people. We are not equipped to define ourselves. We wouldn’t put two broken cars next to each other and expect them to fix each other, so why would we allow our students to find their identity in the whims of this broken world? The goal of Redefine Spotsylvania is to gather students in 6th-12th grade together as one people and examine what the Author of Life has to say about what He has made. As the world grows more and more hostile to God’s truth, we seek to equip, empower, and educate the rising generation to know the surpassing beauty of God who has already defined who they are.
