Looking for a trail run that benefits Veterans and First Responders that serve our communities? You’ve found it! RUN BIG LAND Toughness GROOVE 10.7K Trail Run is a timed, 10.7K (see what we did there?!) trail race in Montross, Virginia. Proceeds benefit the 501c3 nonprofit 10-7 at Big Land!  Beginning at the old “Self Homestead’s” back farm field, meandering through farmland and forest, and ends right back where you started!  Only want to run a 5K? You can do that too! One loop of our course will bring you in right at 5.35K. You  will follow forested cut trails, forested roads and experience some challenging up and down hills for a 1,400 feet in elevation gain. Trail shoes are definitely recommended and want to bring those trail poles? Not a bad idea. Be prepared for the best top male and female finisher awards! But if you aren’t them, you’re going to get some prizes too!  And don’t forget the “Dirty Beaver Award” mud never looked so good and the most mud and dirt gets “The Dirty Beaver Award”. Since we are the best race ever and we have Miss. Biggy Beaver, look for places to take selfies (old toilet bend, the saw mill and more), and the best part…She leaves swag all over the place! Don’t forget that green(money)! We plan to have some local food trucks, drinks, 10-7 at Big Land SWAG and Toughness Groove SWAG for purchase. This is our first annual trail run!
