Lace up your favorite sneakers and join us for an unforgettable evening at the Sneaker Soirée — a high-energy, feel-good fundraiser benefiting Girls on the Run Piedmont! This unique event brings together fashion, fun, and philanthropy to celebrate confidence, community, and the power of girls.

Guests are encouraged to dress to impress — cocktail attire paired with your best kicks — and enjoy a lively night featuring music, interactive experiences, and auctions, and opportunities to connect with fellow supporters. Every step you take helps Girls on the Run inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident.

Whether you’re a sneaker enthusiast, a GOTR supporter, or simply looking for a great night out for a great cause, the Sneaker Soirée is an event you won’t want to miss.

Fallen Heroes 5 Miler

Welcome back, runners, for the annual Fallen Heroes 5 Miler on the 4th of July.

Come out and join us at James Monroe High School and run through the beautiful streets of downtown Fredericksburg.

The race is sponsored by the Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes, a local non-profit organization that provides support to the veterans and first responders in need of assistance in the local community.

This is the 7th race in the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix series in conjunction with the Fredericksburg Area Running Club.
The race will begin and end at the James Monroe High School parking lot.

Packet pickup: Friday, July 3, 2026 Time: 1-6 p.m.
Location: Lucky Road Run Shop 1865 Carl D. Silver Pkwy 22401
Packets will also be available the day of the race between 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. at the parking lot of James Monroe High School.

Please arrive early to retrieve your packet to be ready to start promptly. The race will begin at 7:30 a.m.
Entry Fees:
February 17th – June 7th $35
June 8th – July 2nd $40
July 3rd, July 4th – $45
In order to receive your free shirt, you must register by June 8th.
Extra shirts will be available for purchase with a limited supply on the day of the race and at packet pickup. Cost: $20.00

Age Groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over
Overall winners will be presented awards in both the men’s and women’s divisions: 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Each runner will run in honor of or in memory of a hero.

Make sure to wear your patriotic gear for the chance to win money!
Two prizes ($50.00 gift cards) will be given for the best Patriotic outfit: Best Male and Female.

3rd Annual Community Connections Expo

The Community Connections Expo is an all-day event that connects individuals and families to free community resources and vital health services in the Fredericksburg area. Attendees will have a chance to learn what services are available to them regionally, sign up for eligible assistance, and walk away with resources they need to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Vendors include:

– nonprofit & community organizations

– businesses with free community programs

– social service providers & partners

– direct service providers offering free day of services on site such as haircuts, dental, massage therapy, food distribution, and medical care

This event is hosted by FAHASS (Fredericksburg Area Health and Support Services) in partnership with the Fredericksburg Regional Continuum of Care.
